The Hutton Weekly Gazette - 25 Oct 2026

ANACONDA MK IIs, ASTEROID BLASTS, AND ALMOST SURVIVING SAKARABRU

Greetings, Truckers, gather 'round the subspace receiver for another action-packed, hull-scraping edition of the Hutton Weekly Gazette! We start with a proper tip of the hat to the true truckers who know the value of patience and a warm mug. CMDRs InnerBushman, cor badger, and Hardy took on the sacred Hutton Run with varying degrees of success, ranging from InnerBushman's impressive sub-hour sprint in Dabih Major to cor badger's explosive arrival featuring a critical cockpit breach. On the shipyards front, business was booming as commanders spent billions of credits showing off their shiny new hardware. CMDR InnerBushman snapped up a fresh fleet of Cobra Mk Vs, while CMDRs Belwin Darkstar, A'den, Blacknight7607, and Shaye Blackwood all upgraded to massive Anaconda Mk IIs. Of course, buying the hull is only half the battle, and Jameson Memorial saw non-stop engineering marathons with TAO ZEE, Raijin Cajun, and IcemanX8 tuning dirty drives, long-range FSDs, and heavy-duty shield boosters until their thrusters glowed bright enough to ignite supercruise.

For those who prefer the tranquility of deep space, our cartographers and miners have been pulling overtime to line their pockets and put Hutton on the map. CMDR Blacknight7607 hit the jackpot by discovering a pristine Earth-Like Planet in Oochoss QW-F c3, while deep-space botanists like CMDRs Ed Hunter, Servalan, Amiral Gloomy, and Damien McCandless logged dozens of exotic plant samples ranging from emerald Stratum to teal Concha across remote systems. Out in the asteroid belts, CMDRs A Salty BStard, Blaidd, Kesinik_, and EntariusFusion cracked open countless rocks in HIP 100449 and Delkar, bringing home mountain ranges of Platinum, Painite, and Tritium. Meanwhile, a swarm of commanders rallied behind the Faulcon DeLacy Community Goals, hauling trade goods to AD Leonis and prospecting in Reorte. Special congratulations go out to CMDR InnerBushman for earning their Ranger rank in exploration, CMDR Royal Hankey for reaching Elite IV in Trade, and CMDR KAPPA CHI for stepping up to Warrant Officer in the Federation!

Naturally, it wouldn't be a proper week in the galaxy without a staggering amount of local security harassment, pirate interdictions, and pure combat mayhem. Poor CMDR Raijin Cajun spent what felt like the entire seven days under constant, relentless fire across Sakarabru, V886 Centauri, and Arro Naga, taking enough laser fire to weld an Orbis station back together. CMDRs Damien McCandless, Steve the Red, and Montgomery Python found themselves stuck in endless combat loops of their own, fighting off waves of attackers while constantly limping back to the repair bays. Rebuy screens were handed out like free promotional mugs, claiming the ships of CMDRs Noddie, Körssi, A Salty BStard, A'den, and Quish Stormbringer—with Quish taking a particularly brutal beating in Akozaray. Special mention goes to CMDR Royal Hankey, who managed to fight off enough pirates in Trepin to gain a Combat promotion to Competent, even if it cost a couple of hull insurance claims along the way.

Through all the laser burn and structural fatigue, the spirit of trucker community shines brighter than an overcharged star. CMDRs Round, Chris Hankey, Steve the Red, P0PPY, and Montgomery Python pushed colonisation efforts forward by completing construction at local expansion sites. For those sensible pilots who preferred to leave the flying to someone else, Apex Interstellar earned a fortune in fare credits thanks to frequent flyers CMDRs Taren Capel, Lou Snockers, KAPPA CHI, and Emperor Hankey, who set a fleet record for booking and cancelling taxis. Whether you are cracking cores, dodging interdictions, or taking an Apex cab to the nearest outpost, keep your shields up, your cargo hatches secured, and your thermal vents clear. That is all for this week's gazette, so until next time... Fly safe, fly dangerously, and remember: For the Mug!

Four new CGs this week!

Faulcon DeLacy Combat/Exploration/Mining/Trade Initiatives

COMBAT
To test the new Anaconda Mk II's combat capabilities, Faulcon DeLacy has called for independent pilots to test the new vessel in combat situations in and around HR 8061.
Pilots can support this initiative by first signing up at Bowen Dock in the HR 8061 system before accepting any Combat mission types from any mission board within a 25ly radius.
To contribute, combat missions must be completed and handed in at the mission board. The highest possible credit reward for that mission will count as the contribution, regardless of which reward was actually taken.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant at Bowen Dock in the HR 8061 system before engaging in Combat missions.

EXPLORATION
A joint initiative between Faulcon DeLacy and Universal Cartographics is aiming to gather data to assess system diversity across the Elysian Shore to test the new Anaconda Mk II's exploration capabilities.
Pilots can support this initiative by first signing up at The Magrathea II megaship in the HD 232819 system, before gathering system and planetary scan data. This data must then be sold to Universal Cartographics at The Magrathea II. Any ship may be used as part of this initiative.
Exploration data from the Elysian Shore sold as part of this initiative will have a 1.5x price multiplier.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before handing in exploration data at The Magrathea II megaship in the HD 232819 system.
==========================================
MINING
Faulcon DeLacy have announced sponsored mining trials with Reorte Mining Coalition to test the Anaconda Mk II's abilities in the field.
Pilots can support this initiative by first signing up at Davies High in the Reorte system before mining platinum, painite or osmium and selling it at Davies High's commodity market. Any ship may be used as part of this initiative.
Mined goods sold as part of this initiative will have a 6x price multiplier.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before delivering mined Platinum, Painite or Osmium at Davies High in the Reorte system.
Please note that for commodities to count towards your personal contribution total, they must be mined rather than purchased.
==========================================
TRADE
Faulcon DeLacy has called for independent pilots to help test the new Anaconda Mk II's improved cargo carrying capacity.
Pilots can support this initiative by delivering Polymers, Coffee, Uranium and Liquid Oxygen to Homer Platform in the AD Leonis system.
Commodities sold as part of this initiative will have a 8x price multiplier.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before delivering Polymers, Coffee, Uranium and Liquid Oxygen to the market at Homer Platform in the AD Leonis system

REWARDS
Pilots who register at least 1 contribution to any initiative will receive the following rewards:
Faulcon DeLacy decal
Anaconda Mk II Faulcon Red paint job
Credits, depending on success tier achieved and individual contribution level.
In addition, pilots who register at least 1 contribution to all four initiatives - trade, combat, mining and exploration - will receive a golden Faulcon DeLacy decal.
Any ship may be used as part of these initiatives. The campaign begins on the 22nd October 3312 and will run for one week.

New release and some behind the scenes repairs!

The Hutton Helper had a client update from our resident genius Entarius this week - if you've not noticed then check EDMC when you open it for a "Restart to update" type message so you don't lose any data.
Behind the scenes all changes were minor, picking up a few rogue handlers, database anomalies, and making sure the Anaconda Mk II was called the Anaconda Mk II - seeing that work was a delight!
We passed the milestone of 69 registered commanders, which made certain people giggle like schoolboys, and the registrations keep on coming. There are more people using the Helper than the site at present, so when more areas are fully functional we might start shouting about it more!
Let us know in the Facebook Group or on Discord if there are any problems, we're not ready for feature requests yet, but feel free to note them down for when we are!

For The Mug!!!
